  My partner and I stayed at the Shed for two nights over the Easter long weekend. The Shed is beautifully located, just across the road from the Blackwood River. It is just outside town, so it is quiet, but not too far to travel in for a meal or a walk around.

  The shed has been fitted out to a comfortable "studio apartment" style, with sufficient kitchen equipment to cook if you prefer not to eat out. The Shed is separated from the main to house to provide guests with privacy, but close enough that any tips or help is easily on hand.

  Lovely rustic but sophisticated, hosts are very welcoming. Well equipped....Mary welcomes you with a fresh baked sourdough bread which my better half devoured, he says it is the best sourdough he has ever tasted. Make sure you stay there when in Bridgetown.

  Mary and her husband were there to great us when we arrived and were very friendly. They showed us around the cabin and told us about a lovely walk along the river not far from the property.

  The kitchen is well stocked with electric fry pans, a microwave and a toaster oven as well as a full side fridge. The Shed also has WI-FI and Netflix if you want enjoy a quiet night in. There is also a wood burning fireplace and a modern bathroom.

  The Shed has a very nice secluded location, 20-25 minute walk into town. As we arrived in the early evening, Mary had started the fire, to ensure the Shed was warm on our arrival. It was little touches like this throughout the 3 days that made for an exceptional stay.
